Event Description
While coordinating wreath-laying ceremonies each December on National Wreaths Across America Day is a big part of what we do, our mission to Remember, Honor and Teach is carried out throughout the year. From our Remembrance Tree program to the Wreaths Across America Museum in Maine, there are many different ways in which you can get involved!
In 2021, Wreaths Across America is launching the Stem to Stone Arlington Challenge, travelling 737 miles from the Wreaths Across America Headquarters in Columbia Falls, Maine to Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, Virginia- just like the convoy!
This Challenge begins on March 1, 2021 and concludes on December 18, 2021 - National Wreaths Across America Day. Over the 293 days, participants will be responsible to walk, run or bike for an average of 2.51 miles per day! We also ask that you choose a Veteran to purposefully complete your mileage in honor of, learning about their life and service to our Nation.
For your efforts, you will earn Virtual Badges along the way while reaching various Milestones. Additionally, we have an awesome Challenge shirt and finishers medal for those completing the Challenge!
Be sure to check out the RaceJoy app for this Challenge, which will not only give your pace and total time, but you will also be able to hear audio messages along the way! Even better, your family and friends can send you cheers to encourage you!
The Challenge is set up not only for individuals, but also for Teams. During registration, you can create a team, encouraging your friends, colleagues, and community to get involved!

As a reminder, each donation of $15 sponsors a fresh balsam veteran’s wreath that will be placed on the headstone of an American hero on December 18, 2021, as part of National Wreaths Across America Day.
