Event Description
Does 30 miles of buttery singly track and forest roads in the heart of the Arkansas Valley sound good to you? If not, you might want to check your pulse. With glorious views of the Collegiate Peaks and 4,000ft of ascent, these free flowing trails are perfect for everyone from the first time 50k’er to the veteran trail runner.
West Line Winder is hosted by 14er Fest. 14er Fest takes place Sept 24 - 16th in Buena Vista, CO. At the heat of the festival, you'll find that 14er Fest seeks to join together a wide variety of trail users, including both motorized and non-motorized trail enthusiasts. It's visions is to create a platform where all trial groups can recreate together and work together to keep trails open and maintained. Join us for trail events, clinics, festival camping, live music, local libations and amazing vendors.
The race starts on Saturday, September 25th, 2021 at 8am and runners have 10 hours to complete the course with a 1hr early start option available. There are five aid stations (not counting the Start/Finish) that are fully stoked with the typical aid station fare as well some tasty treats to surprise you. Water and Tailwind are available at all aid stations. Runners can camp at the start/finish line for $10/night and space is limited to 35 spots. The race is capped at 250 runners and registration is $145 no matter when you sign up. With registration runners will receive: a finishers award, race t-shirt, free full resolution professional images, live runner tracking, entry to the 3 Day 14er Festival ($30 value), and beer token ($5 value),
As an added challenge, runners can attempt the Sawatch 50/50 by registering for the Sawatch Ascent 50k on the same weekend! Finishers of the Sawatch 50/50 will get a special award and place awards for the top 3 overall men and women.
Cancellation, Deferral, and refund Policy: Runners can defer 50% of their entry to the following year so long as they request it by September 1st. We also carry cancellation insurance which covers most natural disaster related events. It does not cover pandemic related cancellations though. If the race cancels and it's covered under our insurance, you will receive a FULL refund. If the cancelation is not covered under the policy then there is no refund or deferral available.
