Event Description

K2 Adventures Foundation is excited to announce our 2nd No Limitations Virtual Event – “Catch Matt’s Miles.”

We are proud to partner with an amazing individual, Matt Miller, to bring more visibility to limb loss and limb difference and spread the message that you can embrace adversity and find opportunity.

Now let us introduce you to Matt --- Matt is an avid outdoorsman, ultra runner, baseball fan, writer, speaker, coach, and definitely a survivor. He lost most of his fingers and toes to frostbite, along with a head injury, in 2002 during a mountain climbing expedition on Mexico’s Pico de Orizaba (the third-highest peak in North America). Matt is a person who provides anyone in need with a helping hand, proving that anyone can embrace adversity and find opportunity.

A few words from Matt |

"When we fall in life or lose things, we can lose self-worth; running/outdoors saved my life as an adventure to regain strength and confidence; I wouldn’t have made it without maybe...and not everyone has any of these opportunities like I did.  I know the pain of no self-worth and scary/hopelessness that comes with it...and I don’t want anyone to have to experience that...and this is how we help.  The K2 Adventures Foundation dedicates its life to this effort...and I am fortunate enough to partner with them."

On August 21-22, 2021, Matt's next challenge will be to participate, running 100 miles in the notorious Leadville 100 Race and share his story. This is just one example of how K2 Adventures Foundation helps provide opportunities for individuals to be successful and fulfill their dreams.  Your donation in support of “Catch Matt’s Miles” will be used for individuals like Matt who have suffered from limb loss and limb difference to reach their goals.

“The legendary “Race Across The Sky” 100-mile run is where it all started back in 1983. The race where legends are created, and limits are tested. One hundred miles of extreme Colorado Rockies terrain — from elevations of 9,200 to 12,600 feet. You will give the mountain respect and earn respect from all.” -Leadvilleraceseris.com

We’re thankful for your support of K2 Adventures Foundation and the individuals we partner with to raise awareness about limb loss and limb difference and to continue to prove you can find opportunity through adversity.

Starting on March 20 through April 4, 2021, we invite you to join our goal to bring awareness to limb loss and limb difference by getting outside and seeing if you can “Catch Matt's Miles.”

Here is the challenge for you…
Part 1:  Accumulate as many miles as you can in 15 days.
Part 2:  Raise donations and awareness as you collect funds in support of limb loss and limb difference. Click here to learn more.
