Vac & Dash OBX Lighthouse March Challenge - 117.3-Miles in 31-Days

The OBX Lighthouses are some of the gems of the Carolina's.  Journey by foot the 117.3-Miles from Currituck to Ocracoke during the month of March.

You can run or walk at your own pace.  You can run or walk on the road, on the sidewalks, on the trails or on a treadmill.  Average 3.78-miles per day and you will get it done.

You will virtually start at the Currituck Lighthouse and run/walk 42.8-miles to the Bodie Island Lighthouse.  Once there, you will be eligible for door prizes.  Next stop, virtually head down the road 43.1-miles to reach the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse, where you will be eligible for more door prizes.   Ease on down the road another 31.4-miles to the Ocracoke Island Lighthouse by the end of March and you will be eligible for more prizes, including a new pair of Brooks shoes.

Along the way, you will reach milestones and learn a bit of Outer Banks information and trivia.  Most door prizes will be Outer Banks related.  We have about 30 door prizes to give away at this point.

T-SHIRTS - TANKS - AWARDS

All participants will receive your choice of a t-shirt or tank top.  Finishers will receive a finishers award.  We will ship the t-shirts and tanks at the end of the Challenge along with the awards to participants  that live outside Stanly County.  Those that live in Stanly County, you can stop by Vac & Dash and pick your items up.

I Love The Beauty of the Outer Banks

"Back in the day, when I was a Territory Manager for The Eureka Company, the Outer Banks was part of my sales territory.  My favorite trips were those bi-monthly trips to the eastern shores of our state.  I would stay in Kitty Hawk, about a mile from the Wright Brothers National Memorial in Kill Devil Hills.

I would begin each day running from the hotel to the top of Wrights Brothers Memorial to catch a glorious sunrise.  Then I would spend a couple of days traveling from Corolla to Hatteras calling on accounts and enjoying the north to south drive.  The drive on Highway 12 from Nags Head to Hatteras was always soothing as I drove with my windows down, listening to the ocean waves crashing on the dunes of the banks.

My goal with this challenge is to inspire you to take the virtual 117.3-mile journey from the Currituck Lighthouse to the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse.  We have plenty of Outer Banks door prizes to give out along the way, as well as sharing trivia of the Outer Banks with you.  You will earn badges along the way, plus everyone that participates gets a t-shirt or tank.  Those that complete the challenge earn a finishers award".
