Event Description
It's time to make our Exodus once again. Join BikExodus 2021, presented by Trumps Catering in Athens, and escape from town for a beautful metric century ride in the countryside. Presented by Trumps Catering in Athens, and Congregation Children of Israel, the BikExodus is a fully sagged and supported ride that offers route options of 63, 42, and 23 miles.
The ride will be completely COVID-safe with pre-packaged food and drinks, and all volunteers masked, gloved, and following safety guidelines.
The ride begins and ends at 9 AM at the Jittery Joe's Roaster in Athens, 425 Barber Street, and includes a post-ride meail provided by Trumps Catering at the Roaster. Pre-registration and packet pickup open up at 8 AM at the Roaster.
All pre-registrants are guaranteed a ride t-shirt.
All net proceeds from the ride support Congregation Children of Athens.
NOTE: Your registration also enrolls you in the Virtual BikExodus 2021. This is the partner event to our on-site BikExodus event on May 9th. No separate registration is needed.
The Virtual BikExodus runs from the morning of April 26 to the end of the day on May 9th. You can do this as a competition - who logs the most miles in two weeks - or just for fun. Or both!
The Virtual challenge will award prizes to the first=, second-, and third-place men and women who record the most miles (on the Strava app) during the two-week period.
To participate in the virtual challenge, a membership in Strava is required but it can be the basic free version - ithe app is easy to download and use. The Virtual BikExodus club can be found by searching for "BikExodus" using the looking glass search icon for "clubs". Once you have joined the club you can see on the leaderboard how you are doing in the virtual competition. The club is live now but the virtual competition will only be using miles completed from 4/26-5/9/21. Again, prizes will be awarded for most mileage to the top 3 men and women!

Parking is available at the Roaster.
The route takes us from Athens to the lovely town of Winterville, and then out into the Oglethorpe County countryside.
Trumps Catering will be providing a delicious post-ride meal for all riders.
