Event Description
New Lexington Middle School's after school program will be hosting their fourth annual 5K Panther Prowl Run/Walk. Project Y.O.U. (Youth Opportunities Unlimited) is an extension of the school day. At after school the kids are exposed to many different aspects of learning; social and emotional learning, academic assistance, intervention assistance, and many different clubs for the students to enjoy. Fishing, Problem Based Learning Projects, GPS, Drone and Robotic programming, many arts and craft clubs including Cricut Design, Scrapbooking and Quilting. The program also offers a lot of fitness activities to encourage the kids to get moving. For example, a running club, a community clean-up group, outdoor adventures, an ecosystem club to learn about their environment and others.....
The Panther Prowl 5K Run/Walk was incorporated into the programming as a means of sustainability long term. Even if only bits and pieces can continue if the grant is not renewed is a great thing to offer these kids. This is a great way to allow us to still encourage their moving while bringing in our community to engage in what we do.
Team Discounts
Teams are made up of 5 or more participants. You can get a $5 discount when joining a team that has 5 or more members.
How to get the discount
- Register yourself for the full price ($25)
- Share the team name with friends/family
- When the 5th person on the team registers, all team members (1-4) will get $5 sent back to their credit card automatically
- Team members 6 and higher will then only pay $20

- 1st Age Group Awards Male and Female (10 Under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+)
