Event Description

The Eighth Annual Pine Street School 5K is a fundraiser for Pine Street Elementary School. Funds raised help to supplement PTO's efforts to engage and enrich the student's experience at Pine. Thanks to the generous support of sponsors, PTO is able to provide students with enrichment opportunities such as specialized grade-level studies, Artist in Residence Week and Accelerated Reader programming.

The 5K course runs through Spartanburg's historic Converse Heights neighborhood and is USATF certified (SC18009DW).

Registration includes a short-sleeve cotton t-shirt if registered by March 19th. We will order a limited number of extras for later registrations.

Packet Pick-up: Pine Street School at 500 S Pine St, Spartanburg, SC 

Friday, April 16th at Pine Street Entrance from 3:30am-5:30pm
Saturday, April 17th from 7:30am to 8:45am (Pine St. Entrance)

COVID-19 Precautions:

Packet Pick-Up will be outside the school on April 16th afternoon and the morning of the race.  Masks are required for Packet Pick-Up.  

The race will start promptly at 9am. Participants are asked to line up just prior to the start. After brief remarks the run will begin. Masks are required while waiting for race to start. Masks are not required during the race.

Spectators will be encouraged to watch the race from the race route to avoid large crowds at the finish/start line.

To avoid crowds, there will be no awards ceremony.  Runners are encouraged to leave the school property once their run is complete.  Times will be emailed and posted.
