Event Description
Join Project S.A.V.E for a 2mile* social distanced, outdoors fundraising event to show up together as a community, get some fresh spring air, and come together to bring awareness and an end to sexual violence.
Due to the pandemic, a lot of individuals facing sexual violence have been silenced and services may not be as accessible as needed. We are calling on YOU, to help US, bring awareness to sexual violence!
If you have been in the house, this is your chance to relieve some of your stress with us. We are rallying for change and we are doing it the safe way. We will be wearing masks and be socially distant as we walk to bring change and awareness. If you aren’t able to meet up with us, we ask that you participate wherever you are on April 18th. This can be in the form of running, walking, cycling, at any time. If you won’t be joining us in person please tag us in your photos by using #pssvwalk to show us you are doing your part.
We’re asking you to:
Visit our team page at https://runsignup.com/Race/PA/Philadelphia/WalkingBesideYou to participate in our donation goal, create your own fundraiser goal (https://runsignup.com/Race/Donate/108499/BecomeFundraiser), and share it.
Donate a minimum of $10 to your own personal fundraising goals to receive an official Project S.A.V.E decal.*
Raise an additional $50 or more from your family and friends to receive an official Project S.A.V.E mask.*
Spread the word on social media to have this socially distanced Project S.A.V.E Walk make a huge impact. Your community can share & donate to your personal fundraising page or the overall Project S.A.V.E Walk fundraising page.
Together we can put an end to sexual violence!
*A minimum of $60 needs to be raised/donated to each personal fundraising page to receive both the Project S.A.V.E magnet + mask. Qualify for these prizes by April 9th and receive these items in the mail before our walk! Registrations/donations will still be accepted until 4/16, with remaining prizes to participants mailed out during the first week of May.
*On average 1 in 5 women will experience an attempted or completed rape in their lifetime.
