Event Description

Join us for the first ever Shred the Tread 5k! Shred the Tread 5k is a Covid compliant indoor race that will take place on Woodway treadmills inside the Shred415 Greensboro studio (located at Friendly Center). We will have 8 runners (per time slot) running simultaneously. Time slots start at 7:00 a.m and and continue until 6:00 pm on April 24, 2021.  Time slots are on a first come-first served basis. Every runner that completes the 5k will get a goodie bag, t-shirt and medal. Runners and walkers are welcomed! Top 3 M/F will be awarded prizes from Omega Sports. Top Overall Master Male and Master Female will also win prizes from Omega Sports. We also have raffle prizes to give away from many of our sponsors! This is a race you don't want to miss!

And we can guarantee this one is flat-- unless you hit the incline! **Each wave is assigned 35 minutes as a time block. We realize that some runners will take less time and some walkers will need more time. These are just start times for each wave. Please arrive at least 10 minutes before your scheduled time slot. No warm ups will be allowed on the treadmill. Please warm up outside. Once you start the treadmill, you won't be able to turn if off until you complete your 5k distance or it will not count towards the results. This will prevent people from starting and stopping during their time slot. Two timers will be in the room at all times to record race results and monitor the race.
