Event Description
This event will consist of three fun, outdoor, recreational fitness disciplines starting with a 400 meter out and back ocean swim/float, followed by a 10 mile/30-minute cycle session(which ever comes first) on a stationary Keiser spin cycle and finishes with a 2.8 mile run/jog/walk. Participants registered by April 17th will receive a long, sleeve, dri fit event shirt!
Unlike traditional Triathlons, this event will be totally ‘for fun’ encouraging participation from a broad range of members of the community. The event parameters allow participants of varying levels of fitness in each discipline to successfully complete each segment. Participants can opt to participate in 1, 2 or all 3 fitness challenges.
NTB Fire Department will be providing EMS/Ocean rescue for this event. Local volunteers from the Community will be assisting in various support roles including aid stations, parking lot control and safety details.
The event will not have monetary or placement awards but does allow each participant to have an awesome, fun, fitness experience ‘racing ’at their individual skill level. This provides the opportunity for personal goal accomplishments, self-achievement and confidence building while contributing and supporting the local community for lifesaving/rescue equipment and youth scholarship program.
CDC safety guidelines and social distancing will be in place and followed during event. All participants, volunteers and event sponsors associated with event will be required to comply accordingly. This event will be contactless.
Participants under the age of 18 years old must have a legal guardian’s signature and that legal guardian must be a registered participant within same wave. Note: Participants must be at least 14 years old and 4’9” to participate in the cycling segment.

Proceeds from the event will be distributed between the North Topsail Beach Volunteer Rescue & EMS and the Onslow County Parks & Rec department Youth scholarship fund.
