Steps For Survivors: A Virtual Tri-county Community Miles Challenge

Saturday, May 1-Monday, May 31, 2021

As our everyday lives have shifted in response to COVID-19, so have community events. For the first time in 26 years, Safe Voices will be putting our annual 5K on hold and offering a brand new virtual event called Steps for Survivors.

This virtual community event challenges participants to collectively run or walk 4,400 miles – the approximate square mileage of the tri-county footprint that Safe Voices serves. If we can’t be together, let’s celebrate what we can do together.

Participants set a personal goal and log their miles with us May 1-May 31. In addition, participants can fundraise to benefit local survivors of domestic violence and sex trafficking. Whether it's 10 miles or 100 miles, your progress can be logged from anywhere, so anyone can participate!

Need a little motivation to lace up? There will be raffle prizes for participants who reach milestones with their miles and donations raised. More on that coming soon!

Join us as we raise funds to support Safe Voices' mission: to support and empower those affected by domestic violence and engage the community in creating social change in Androscoggin, Oxford, and Franklin counties.
