Event Description

The majority of Tri-County Behavioral Healthcare’s consumers are low-income and uninsured.  As is the case with any low-income and uninsured population, there are many unmet needs which impact the individual on a day to day basis; but with individuals who have complex mental health disorders or developmental disabilities have additional needs.  Tri-County’s Consumer Foundation (a non-profit 501 c3) was created to help our consumers in meeting some of their basic unmet needs.  By offering our consumers financial resources to meet these needs, many will stabilize and move towards greater independence and a better quality of life.

In celebrating May as Mental Health Awareness Month we are asking you to join us in Tri-County’s Consumer Foundation Acts of Kindness Challenge.  Each day during the month of May you will complete one act of kindness.  You can give a meaningful compliment, pick-up trash on the street, or buy coffee for the guy behind you; anything that can make a difference.  At the end of the challenge not only do you get an awesome t-shirt, you also get to know that you played a BIG role in making our world a kinder place for everyone during Mental Health Awareness Month.  The cost of this amazing event is $30.  Invite all of your friends and family and lets see if we really CAN change the world with one act of kindness at a time.
