The Children's Grief Center of the Great Lakes Bay Region's

1st Annual "Grit Your Grief 5K Run/Walk" FUNDRAISER

May 15th-22nd: Virtual Race Week  🏃‍♀️🏃🏽  May 22nd: LIVE RACE EVENT (Midland City Forest, 8am-1pm)

During the Virtual Race Week (May 15-22), participants choose their own routes, log their miles and times and submit as they finish. These will be listed on the race results website page at the completion of the week. The Live Race on May 22nd is an untimed trail run event. *Also on the day of the Live Race (May 22nd), there will be a "Kids Color Fun Run" held at City Forest from 10-11am. Registration is $6.00 for children 12 and under (all participants must be registered), Kids will receive a free T- shirt .

This is a Great Lakes Bay Regional event. All proceeds will directly benefit ALL of the  children and families that we serve in the Great Lakes Bay Region at each of our grief center's sites, and the onsite school grief groups that we facilitate. The live event will rotate throughout the years to come in each city we serve.  

MEMORIAL SIGNS with photos of your loved one can be purchased through this website. The signs will be displayed along the race route the day of the event and also at the Children's Grief Center the week before. Need not be a runner to purchase. Donations will be gladly accepted from our non-runner friends. 

COVID-19 guidelines for the state of Michigan will be followed and details are included in the waiver required when registering. 

REGISTRATION DEADLINES:

$35.00  💚  EARLY REGISTRATION ✔️ March 26 - April 9:  Receive a Tie-Dye Bandana BONUS, Race T-shirt and Race Medal
$35.00  💚  REGISTRATION ✔️ April 10 - April 25:  Receive a Race T-shirt and Race Medal
$40.00  💚  LATE REGISTRATION ✔️ April 26 - May 21:  Receive a Race T-shirt ONLY IF AVAILABLE, and Race Medal

*Race Packet Pick-ups will be available throughout the region prior to May 22nd (dates and times to be announced)
