Event Description
Come join us for the Best Fest annual 5k run/walk and 1 mile run/walk. This year you can choose to participate either in person OR virtually on your own. If participating virtually, please submit your time by end of day on 5/21/2021. Seasoned runners and short distance walkers are all welcome to participate and enjoy the Portage area in a unique way. The race course highlights our beautiful city for the flat 5k run/walk. Everyone registered prior to 5/17/2021 will be guarenteed a t-shirt. Those registered after 5/17 will not be guarenteed a t-shirt.
All race proceeds go to benefit St. Mary's Immaculate Conception parish.

RACE LOCATION: ST. MARY's of THE IMMACULATE CONCEPTION SCHOOL - 307 W COOK STREET, PORTAGE, WI 53701
OR Virtually on your own!
EVENTS: 1 MILE RUN/WALK: 9:30 AM. 5K RUN/WALK Start: 10:00 AM.
AGE DIVISIONS: MALE/FEMALE (5K RUN): 10 & under, 11-13, 14-16, 17-20, 21-25, 26-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 & over
RESULTS AND AWARDS: Awards and gift certificates to the top three overall male and female finishers of the 5K run. 1st place awards will be presented in each age group listed above, male and female, for the 5K Run. Top three in the one mile run will receive an award.
PACKET PICKUP: Day before registration and packet pickup: Friday May 21st from 5PM - 8PM at the Best Fest tent, 315 W Cook St, Portage, WI 53901. Race day registration and packet pickup: 7:00 AM until time of each race at the Best Fest Tent, 315 W Cook St, Portage, WI 53901.

All pre-registered participants receive t-shirt. Day before and race day registration cannot guarantee t-shirt. (There will be no re-order of shirts).
Day of race there will be granola bars and water and pre/post race music. For information email kari.krakow@gmail.com. Participants 21 and over will recieve a beverage ticket for a free beverage.
Awards Ceremony will happen approximately at 11:00 AM in Best Fest Tent.
We do encourage you to wear a mask in the start / fisnish area and maintain social distancing at all times.
