Event Description

In a year so full of challenges, who needs another one? You do, and this is one you can feel good about: the SCN2A Warrior Challenge.

Join us (virtually) the weekend of October 23-24 for the 2nd Annual SCN2A Warrior Challenge, where you can run, walk, roll or stroll to support the FamilieSCN2A Foundation.

Since this is a virtual race you should design the course however you want to challenge yourself: is it 100 meters, a mile, a 5K; are you looking for a good reason to take on a 10K or something longer? Whatever the distance and location, you’ll run, walk, roll in a wheelchair or push a stroller to complete the SCN2A Warrior Challenge for a great cause.  

Registration is just $10 this year!  

How to take part:

• Register today!
• Create a TEAM that represents your SCN2A Warrior or reason for participating!  
• Spread the word: let friends and family know and ask them to take part
• Consider making a donation
• Pick a day (ideally October 23 or 24, but earlier if neither date works for you) you’d like to complete your challenge
• Order your SCN2A Warrior gear at ___________ (will add link as soon as we get it - any day now)
• Get moving and have fun!
• Take photos and flood social media with posts using #Run4SCN2A and #CureSCN2A.

How to help:

Last year, this event raised over $54,000 for the Foundation!  That would not have been possible without all of the generous donations we received.  Please consider donating to FamilieSCN2A Foundation in addition to your registration for the event — and if you’re unable to take part in the SCN2A Warrior Challenge you can still help us through a donation.  We need all the help we can get as Covid has  negatively affected our ability to raise funds for research and patient support.

About FamilieSCN2A:

We are an organization created by parents of children diagnosed with rare forms of Epilepsy and Autism as a result of a change in the SCN2A gene. Our vision is to find effective treatments and a cure for SCN2A-related disorders. Our mission is to improve the lives of those affected by SCN2A-related disorders through research, public awareness, family support and patient advocacy. We are a registered 501(c)(3) organization.

Your generous donations will go directly toward research, awareness, and to provide educational and emotional support for patients and families by connecting them with other families affected by SCN2A.
