Running in Honor 5K
Running for those who can't.
 

So many wake each morning, go for a run or a walk and sometimes take that for granted.  Some are restricted to a wheelchair and cannot enjoy a nice 5 mile run or simply going for a small walk.  Each year 10,000 people are affected by spinal cord tumors, which can spread to cancer.  Many are left paralyzed and their quality of life is forever changed.

Here is your chance to show support for those who need it most.  Join us on June 19, 2021 at Vista View Park for the Running in Honor 5K.  We will start the 5K at 7:00am and the course is flat and fast.  The 5K will be chipped timed and will provide awards for the top 3 overall as well as top 3 in each age group.  All participants will receive the personalized race bib, event shirt, finisher medal, and personalized race completion certificate.

We are honored to work with Gustavo Nunez, who suffered from spinal cancer, and provides an amazing perspective of the battle that is fought each day.  Proceeds from the event will help obtain expensive medical equipment, such as Leg Lifter, Bed Rope Ladder, Drive Medical Folding Universal Sliding Transfer Bench, and more.
