CAMP BARTOW 5K

8am -- 5K Start
9:15am -- Awards Presentation
Bartow County Parks & Recreation is excited to have you join us November 7th for our inaugural 5K. Enjoy the race surrounded by tall trees, lake vistas and camping areas, all while seeing what Lake Allatoona and Gatewood Park each have to offer. It's certainly a beautiful view for running, but come back or stick around and make a day of it. Bring a picnic lunch down by the lake water and make this most of it!

5K COURSE
- This unique and scenic course is a one-of-a-kind...it is a point-to-point route, that begins at the Lake Allatoona Dam** and ends at Gatewood Park.
**YOU WILL NEED TO PARK ALL VEHICLES AT GATEWOOD PARK.
YOU WILL THEN BE SHUTTLED TO THE STARTING POINT for the RACE.
PRE-REGISTATION PACKET PICK UP
- On race morning, for those who pre-registered, see the tent & tables designated for 'Packet Pick-up' for your Bib #, t-shirt, and SWAG bag.
RACE DAY REGISTRATION
- For those who wish to sign up the morning of the race, Saturday, Race Registration will be from 7:00am-7:45am. The cost is $35 on Race Day.
** Please note: We will do our best, however, Race SWAG (stuff we all get) is not guaranteed for those who register on race day, so pre-register early. **
PROFESSIONAL TIMING
This race will be professionally-timed by Wire2Wire Running, LLC and results will be posted here after the conclusion of the race:
RACE BIBS
Bibs must be worn on the front of your body and remain unfolded for proper timing and be visible at the finish. Please do not wear them on your back or leg, as they become harder to detect. Remember, the finish line mats must 'see' your Bib # to electronically detect.
5K AWARDS
Awards will be presented to the Overall Winners, Male & Female, as well as the Overall Masters Winners, Male & Female.
Age group medals will be given to 1st and 2nd place finishers in the following age categories:
14& Under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70& Over

REFUNDS
We do not offer refunds for races. With supporting documentation and under extreme circumstances you may contact BCRD at 770-387-5149 to see if a deferral is possible.
WEATHER
In the event of inclement weather…There are no “rain dates” for this Bartow County event. If the weather conditions are hazardous, Race Management has the right to change, eliminate parts of the course, or delay up to a point. However, if it is deemed too dangerous to race, the event will be canceled and there will be no refunds. Of course, since we are athletes ourselves, we will do everything in our power to have the event, but your safety is of our utmost concern.
