FCARL Virtual 5k: Run For The Animals

You can participate anytime/anywhere from June 11- June 27, 2021

How The #FCARLVIRTUAL5k Works:

The first step is to register by June 10 so we can send you your running packet, bib & medal (the earlier you sign up, the quicker you will still receive your running packet, bib & medal!)

Want to wear an official FCARL Virtual 5k shirt when participating in the event? Interested in a doggie tee so your number one fan can look the part when competing the virtual 5k with you? We have you covered!

If you want an official virtual 5k shirt, click here

If you want a official running buddy doggie tee for your pup, click here

Order your official shirt/doggie shirt by May 24 to ensure you get it by June 11!

You don’t just have to run the virtual 5k! You can walk, bike, dance, hop, skip, jump or move however you would like, where ever you choose! There’s no time limit, so complete the 3.1 miles (5 kilometers) at your own pace.Your companion animals can participate with you too!

Complete the virtual 5k by June 27, register your time and you'll be in with a chance of winning some great prizes! Upload photos and your race results directly to this site and share your progress and participation on Facebook & Twitter using the hashtag #FCARLVIRTUAL5k

To be eligible to win prizes, you need to register your time on this site by 11:59 PM on July 5 (everyone will be entered into the prize draws, you don't have to be the fastest!)

WHY JOIN US?

Floyd County Animal Rescue League is a local nonprofit organization dedicated to the animals of Floyd County, Indiana.

The purpose of the virtual 5k is to raise funds to help us help the animals! We want to continue to help people get their companion animals spayed and neutered to stop unwanted litters being born, we want to be there to help an animal with an urgent medical need receive veterinary care and we want to continue to work towards getting as many community cats fixed as we can! Funds raised will also help the animals who find themselves at the New Albany Floyd County Animal Shelter through no fault of their own receive care that goes above and beyond what a shelter can normally do.

The pandemic has shifted the way we fundraise. Most of our previous fundraisers were in-person events but with all of these being postponed or cancelled, our donations were down by 40% in 2020, but the need to help the animals of Floyd County has only increased over the past year.
