The proceeds of the event help to provide support for CCC's Urban Farming Project teaching our youth organic farming techniques, cooking & nutrition education. It also supports CCC's Senior Caregiving Program which provides 262 frail & elderly shut-ins with home delivered meals, fresh weekly produce, & social activities, as well as our food pantry.
The 5K Run is also designed to support our economic development programs for job training and a culinary business development center. The event encourages vendors participation.
