Event Description
The ABAC Run for the Nurses supports the Lisa Purvis Allison Spirit of Nursing Scholarship in the ABAC School of Nursing and Health Sciences.
- The course is USTAF certified.
- Chip timing will be used.
- All participants receive medals.
- T-shirts guaranteed to those who register before October 1.
The race will begin and end on ABAC’s campus. If you are coming via I-75, use exit 64 and follow the signs to ABAC. Please park in the North Parking Lot, which is accessible from Moore Hwy, north of the Front Campus entrances. There will be posted signs to guide you to this lot. Registration will take place on the pedestrian walkway that is at the edge of this parking lot - look for the ABAC Alumni Tent.
The starting line will be well-marked at the Pedestrian Crosswalk in front of the Ag Sciences building. Both the 5K and half marathon courses will circle campus and include portions of Moore Highway. The half marathon will continue to Rainwater Road, Carpenter Road, and Zion Hope Road, with signs and course monitors to guide you. There will be water stations available at regular intervals.
Restrooms will be accessible inside of the Ag Sciences building.
Early packet pick-up will take place on Friday, October 29 from 4-6pm at the same location for Race Day registration, indicated above.
Race Day Schedule:
6:30am – Registration and packet pick-up opens
7:30am – Day-of Registration closes
8:00am – Half Marathon begins
8:15am – 5K Begins
Approximately 9:15am – 5K Awards
Approximately 9:45am – Half Marathon Awards
