Event Description

The Off Road Multi Sport Fest is a sprint distance off road triathlon held entirely on the Kiawah River property on Johns Island, SC. This first ever off road triathlon in the Lowcountry features a 750 meter swim in the Kiawah River at high tide and a 17K two loop off road bike course. The run course is a 6K trail loop featuring some of the most scenic views in the Lowcountry.

This event will have a single transition area.

The swim begins at the boat launch at Kiawah River and will follow USAT guidelines for wetsuits, 78 degrees or lower. (The average water temperature for Kiawah River in early September is 81 degrees.) The 750 meter course is in an inlet off the Kiawah River in a rectangle. The swim will take place at dead high tide with little to no current.

The bike course will take you to the far end of the Kiawah River property with stunning views of the river and centuries old live oaks aligning much of the route.

The run carries you to the opposite end of the Kiawah River property taking in some breathtaking views along the way.

Post Event festivities will take place at the finish area at Kiawah River. Breakfast burritos provided by Tres Palmas.

All athletes will receive a commemorative, plush beach towel and a finishers medal.

The beneficiary of this race is Task Force Dagger. Task Force Dagger Special Operations Foundation provides assistance to wounded, ill, or injured US Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) members and their families.

Our local beneficiary is the Dee Norton Child Advocacy Center. The Dee Norton Child Advocacy Center is the region’s leading resource to prevent abuse, protect children and heal families.
