Event Description
THE 6TH ANNUAL RUN FOR THE STARS IS A 5K RACE / WALK AND 1 MILE FUN RUN FOR THE KIDS ON SATURDAY, APRIL 1st.
This fast course is a flat and scenic paved path within Walsingham Park. The route borders Walsingham Lake and winds through shaded areas too . Water station at mile 1-1/2.
Fun but competitive race! Great atmosphere and course.
* Rain or Shine Event - No raindates.
5K AWARDS 3 DEEP IN ALL MAJOR CATEGORIES.
- Overall Male/Female,
- Overall Master Male/Female,
- Overall Grandmaster Male/Female.
1 MILE FUN RUN
Approximately 15 minutes after the completion of the 5K (8:45), there will be a 1 mile fun run. This is open to children 12 and under. The 1 miler will not be a timed event, simply a FUN RUN!

7:00 - Park Opens
8:00 - Start line announcements - National Anthem
8:05 - Race Starts
8:45* - 1 Mile Fun Run Start (time is approximate)
9:00 - Bib # give aways - (we have some cool stuff!)
9:15-9:30 - Awards
Parking:
Please follow our volunteers' direections. We want to leave the first section of paved spaces by the dog park open for our furry friends. We will fill the paved spots first, then the field that is adjacent to the parking lot. No matter where you end up, it is a very short walk to registration and the starting line.
