Event Description

Reboot our 4th of July tradition with the Hercules Dynamite 5K Run/Walk along the San Francisco Bay Trail!

Sadly, our normal Hercules Parade/Run/Festival last year was derailed by COVID.  It is also rather close to July 4th to attempt our usual Herculean Celebration.  But, that doesn't mean we can't have the 5K run!   The race will start July 4th at 9am.  We will run/jog/walk the newly opened Northern portion of the San Francisco Bay Trail from The Exchange to the top of the trail on Pacific Ave and back.

The event will be a chip timed 5K run/walk limited to 250 entrants. The price above is adult general registration, but, on checkout, teens 11-18 are $20, and kids 10 and under are FREE!

Register by June 24th and your t-shirt size is set.  Register after that date and sized race t-shirts will be passed out during Race Packet pickup on a first-come basis.

Race Packet (bib/shirt) pick-up: Saturday 7/3 outside Le Fleur D Floral 1375 Sycamore Ave Suite 150-A  -- 4:00pm - 7:00pm.  Sunday at event @ 6:30am-8:00am

This years' Hercules Dynamite 5K Run/Walk is presented by the Hercules/Rodeo/Crockett Rotary Club.

COVID PRECAUTIONS

On 6/15, the state of California is 'fully reopening'. The 'Beyond the Blueprint' guidelines released by the California Department of Public Health indicate "Beginning June 15, all sectors listed in the current Blueprint Activities and Business Tiers Chart may return to usual operations, with limited exceptions for Mega Events."

The California Department of Public Health indicated the following regarding races.....

"Post June 15th, smaller race events would no longer have any restrictions or limitations. The only thing that would continue to have recommendations are for any events that would fall into the category of Outdoor Mega Event (so anything that might have more than 10,000 attendees per day)."

The Beyond the Blueprint guidelines indicate 'no restrictions' for capacity limitations and 'no restrictions' around physical distancing for attendees, customers and guests.

The CDPH indicates the following for masking....

1) For fully vaccinated persons, face coverings are not required outdoors except when attending crowded outdoor events, such as live performances, parades, fairs, festivals, sports events, or other similar settings.

2) For unvaccinated persons, face coverings are required outdoors any time physical distancing cannot be maintained, including when attending crowded outdoor events, such as live performances, parades, fairs, festivals, sports events, or other similar settings.
