Village Runner Indpendence Day 5k
Celebrate Independence Day with a scenic run along the Pacific Ocean and enjoy our 28th Annual 5K and Firecracker Dash on Saturday, July 3rd, 2021 at 8:00am! All participants will receive an Independence Day run t-shirt. There will be chip timing, age division awards, and cash prizes to the top three overall male and female runners in the 5K run. All kids dash finishers receive medals too!
How to Register:
There are two ways to register for this year’s event:

5K:
$40 per entry by 6/27/2021
$45 per entry after 6/27/2021
Firecracker Dash (shorter race for kids’ ages 4-9):
$40 per entry by 6/27/2021
$45 per entry after 6/27/2021
Race Schedule:
The 5K Run/Walk begins at 8:00am on Saturday, July 3, 2021.
The Firecracker Dash for the Gold heats are separated by age groups and start approximately at the times listed below.
9:30am Ages 8-9, Distance: 1/4 Mile
9:40am Ages 6-7, Distance: 1/4 Mile
9:45am Ages 4-5, Distance: “Dash”
Packet Pickup and Late Registration:
Race packets will be available for pickup the following dates and times:
Friday, July 2nd: Noon to 6pm at the Village Runner in Redondo Beach
Race Morning, Saturday, July 3rd: 6:30am on Catalina Ave. near Palos Verdes Blvd.
Please note our newer location in the Riviera Village located just doors away from Trader Joe’s.

Celebrate and give back to our local students. The Village Runner Independence Day 5K directly benefits the Redondo Beach Educational Foundation and other local schools and running programs. A portion of YOUR registration fee from this race goes to these deserving groups each year.
