Event Description

Join us for the 4th Annual Carlsbad Beer Mile on August 15th in Carlsbad, California OR Virtually!

We're excited to bring this event back for lots of fun for a good cause to raise money for the Run4Water non-profit (details below)

What Is The Beer Mile?
Running and beer go together like peanut butter and jelly. Runners often celebrate their runs and races with a cold brew or two. Why wait until after the race to enjoy a beer?
4 beers, 4 laps.
The official Kingston Rules (described in detail at beermile.com) were first standardized in 1990 by a group of Canadian runners, including the World Classic co-founder John Markell.
A few fundamentals: 12 oz, 5% ABV beers, any “emesis” results in a one lap penalty.
The beer mile started as an underground event and has evolved into international competitions.
Race Info
We will have several divisions. Solo and Team in person as well as Solo and Team virtual. Teams can be comprised of 2 runners. All runners will receive a Carlsbad Beer Swag.
There is no requirement, rules or pressure to drink any of the beers on course or in the post party area. Runners who choose not to drink beer still must drink 12oz of water.
All participants are required to provide their own designated driver or other ride service. NO EXCEPTIONS.
Charity
All proceeds from the race will be going to the Run 4 Water Organization.
Run4Water's mission to to provide clean water to those in our world without. We do this globally and domestically. It surprises many that there are still families in Appalachia US drinking from contaminated wells and creeks. We specialize in repairing broken bore holes globally and installing water sterilization systems in Appalachia.
