It's about giving EVERY child no matter what level of experience they have in triathlon a SAFE place to BE THEMSELVES!

We will create and foster a safe and enjoyable atmosphere that helps your child feel COMFORTABLE & VERY SPECIAL.

We LOVE brand new, first timer racers and we CATER them.

We WILL help them (and every child at this event) feel comfortable & happy...THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT TO US!

😀THE DETAILS😀

Scoogie Events KIDS ROCK TRIATHLON is organized by Scoogie Events and will be staged on Saturday, June 28, 2021 to help raise funds for the beautiful Penllyn Club while also providing a fun, non-competitive atmosphere for kid’s to enjoy swimming, biking and running in the outdoors. 

The Scoogie Events KIDS ROCK TRIATHLON will consist of various swim, bike and run distances depending on the age of the child racing.
It will be a time trail start (meaning the kids will start the swim in a staggered manner depending on their age)
and of course an awesome post-race festival with activities that kids will LOVE. 
The purpose of this event is to promote multisport participation in youth, families & individuals.
To encourage physical exercise and a healthy lifestyle in a safe, fun & none-competitive atmosphere.

A VERY DETAILED email will be sent out to all registered triathletes on Tuesday, August 24th. 
Packet pick-up details will also be included in that email…stay tuned 😊

😀DISTANCES😀

Ages 5-7: Swim 25 yards ~ Bike 2 Miles ~ Run .35 Mile
Ages 8-9: Swim 50 yards ~ Bike 2 Miles ~ Run .35 Mile
Ages 10-11: Swim 100 yards ~ Bike 2 Miles ~ Run .75 Mile
Ages 12-15: Swim 100 yards ~ Bike 3.5 Miles ~ Run .75 Mile
Awards for age Groups: 6-7, 8-9, 10-11, 12-13, 14-15.
 
Course details:

Swim: The swim will be held in an outdoor pool with enough lifeguards to make sure that every child is safe. The distance will depend on the age of the child.

Transition Area: There will be an area for the competitors to put their bikes, shoes, helmets, etc., called “the transition area”. After finishing the swim, the kids will come into the transition area to put on their biking gear, get their bikes and start the bike portion of the race.

IMPORTANT TRANSITION NOTE: The transition area will be staffed with THE BEST OF THE BEST of the Scoogie Events Crew. There will be 10 highly trained TRIATHLETES that are warm and welcoming and ENCOURAGING to your children. Fear not...We have this covered by THE BEST.

General Information: The most important factor will be the safety of the participants.
The event will be altered or cancelled if it is deemed that for any reason the event is unsafe for the participants.

WE ARE STRONGLY ENCOURAGING EVERYONE TO COME TO PPU ON FRIDAY, AUGUST 27TH FROM 4:30-6:00 PM!


THIS WILL HELP AVOID LINES AND HELP MAINTAIN SOCIAL DISTANCING ON RACE DAY!
It's not mandatory.....but PLEASE TRY.
A packet pick-up email will be sent to all registered triathletes on Tuesday, August 24th outlining when and where packet pick-up will be.  
AGAIN.....Packet Pick-up will be at the Penllyn Club (race site) on FRIDAY, AUGUST 27TH from 4:30-6pm.
It is not mandatory (as we realize some of you are traveling a good distance to get to the race), but it is strongly encouraged.

VERY IMPORTANT NOTES REGARDING PREPARING YOUR BIKE FOR THE EVENT:
Please make every effort to get to Keswick Cycles to get your bikes and helmets inspected!

If you don’t get a chance to get to Keswick….they WILL be doing race day bike or helmet checks!!!

We do not offer refunds or transfers.

If you have to leave the race early for ANY reason, you must notify us to save your award.  If you do not, we cannot hold/store awards and will likely be given to a race day entry or someone else. It is simply too much to hold/store & inventory the awards. 

Note: If you are registered for this race and you registered in time to choose a t shirt size BUT you are unable to run for whatever reason, you will NEED TO CONTACT us BEFORE RACE DAY and let us know if you'd like us to hold on to your reserved giveaway (t shirt) for you to pick up at a future Scoogie Event. If you do not do this, we cannot hold your shirt and it will be given to someone that registered after the deadline. We cannot mail shirts.
