THE TIKI BEACH 5k/10K. In- PERSON live event with LIVE Polynesian Drummers and Dancers!  Hosting at Irvine Valley College. Coconuts, palm trees, grass skirts , and the TAPUA PRODUCTION drummers and dancers makes this the BEST BEACH BASH , healthy RUNNER's Party!

Welcome to the Annual Tiki Beach 5K/10K. YOUR  Polynesian themed Summer RACE.  Every participant gets a Hawaiian style race shirt (Choice of tank top or short sleeved Coolmax shirt) and the BEST EVER CUSTOM CAST FINISHER MEDAL!  CAREN WARE EVENTS are RFID CHIP Timed by ITZ ABOUT TIME and have very cool age division awards and overall finisher trophies. (5 year age spans this time!)  Because of our specialty CHIP Timing, we are able to do staggered starts, if still required.   EVERYONE gets a time, even walkers.  We are passionate about offering  FUN ACTIVITY, Competition, and  SOMETHING for Everybody and every BODY !  

The course is Flat and fast, or slow and easy.  Make it the pace you want it.  The 5K/10K routes are both wide out and backs courses.  Strollers stay to the right!   

EVERY PARTICIPANT RECEIVES:

• Custom Cast Finishers Medal (great addition to your collection!)
• Tiki Beach custom shirt
• Chip timed and a custom race bib
• Water and fruit at the finish line
• Chance for Age division awards and overall Trophies

A BIG "beachy" Polynesian themed start area...standing 6 feet apart if we still need to!

Awards: 
Top Three Male/Female Awards. There are “In It To Win It” age categories 3 deep with 5 year age spans:  5k and 10K
1-10, 11-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39 40-44, 45-49, 50-54,55-59 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80&over

YOU get a 4th reward for doing  three SUMMER EVENTS:  Cinco De Miles,  SO Cal Pirate's Run, 4th of July Red, White, & Blue , and the TIKI BEACH 5k/10K are the summer race options. 

EARLY RACE PACKET PICK UP at Costa Mesa's Road Runner Sports from noon to 3pm

  Costa Mesa 92627      (You can pick up for others. No ID required. You may also pick up race morning at the race site)

              Volunteers arrive and check in
6:30 am-8:15  Registration OPEN
                Shirts and bibs available for pick up race day 
6:30am to 8:15 am   Polynesian Party Expo open for participants.( Social distancing and masks in this area may still be required. )
6:30am to 8:15am  Staggered start times, every 5 seconds if still needed. This may be modified to include corrals of starts.  All participants must be finished with the course by 9:00 for 5k and 9:30am for the 10K to be in the age divisions tabulation.
9:00 am Times are posted and emailed. 

PARKING:
PARKING at BOLSA CHICA STATE BEACH is $15. You may wish to carpool. To enter into BOLSA CHICA STATE BEACH go in the main gate on PCH and drive the furthest EAST to the very last parking lot. (Lot 25) The race is staged in view of that famous Jack In the Box on the corner of Warner and PCH. Parking is free to the west behind that Jack in the Box.  Or there is also metered parking.  Do not park in the shopping center or gas station.

Virtual Run: The virtual run race is perfect for those who can't make the race but still want to earn a medal! Participant will choose their own date and location to run the distance on their own through the "honor" system and receive their custom event shirt and medal in the mail. Now your friends and family from across the miles can celebrate and participate with you! Packets will not be available before race day. You will be able to pick up your packets at Early Packet Pick Up location or if you need it mailed, we will mail it the on Wednesday following the event.

Pets: Friendly Pets are allowed and must be leashed at all times and accompanied by a Run /Walk participant. Stroller: Families can bring strollers, but agree to use at own risk.  Stay to your right.  Note, that only register participants with a BIB will receive a finisher medal. Please make sure your BIB is in the front and visible to the finish line crew. Also, note that the open public uses this running path.  There will be cyclists and other runners and walkers. 

Race will take place rain or totally sunny!
