Event Description

This year the 5th Annual Beerfest 5K has partnered with the Tarpon River Brewery in Fort Lauderdale!  We are going to bring you the best of both worlds: Beer & Running!   Just know you will be running at your own risk and if you are running, make sure you drink responsibly.

Here is how it will work! 

Your entry will earn you a starting spot at the coolest craft beer run course around, It will take you up the South side of the Riverwalk into Rio Vista, then you will come back over the 3rd avenue bridge and make your way to the North side of the Riverwalk. You will then make your way West along the North side of the river, taking in the majestic views of all the Yachts as you stumble past them. Once you get to the Avenue of the arts, you will make your way back to the brewery.

After crossing the finish line, you will be exposed to the best local craft beer that South Florida has to offer!  Tarpon River brewery and their affiliates have joined forces and will be providing beer samples for everyone 21 & Over. 

 BEER MILE Team competition:

If you would like to join as a team, you must have a minimum of 4 competitors. When you start you will be given an empty full size keg for your team to carry. The keg must be transported the entire way by the team. One person can hold it the whole way, or your team can take turns carrying it. The winner of the team keg competition will win a sick prize! 

Beer Mile: 

There will also be an official beer mile that we will host immediately after the 5k run. Tarpon River Brewery will supply the beers for the beer mile so your entry fee will cover the cost of the beer. You must be 21 & over to participate in the beer mile. If you are not 21 and want to participate, you can, but you must bring your own ROOT BEER.
