Event Description

The 23rd Annual Granite Bay Triathlon 

NEW location for 2021. The race will take place at the Granite Bay Boat Launch Ramp area at Granite Bay, Folsom Lake SRA. 

This race is California's Toughest Sprint Triathlon and has a beautiful course. This race is also the NorCal/Nevada Tri Club Championship Race, with Tri Clubs competing for Top Tri Club in California/Nevada.

The Granite Bay Triathlon is one of the toughest sprint Triathlons in the country. It also serves as the NorCal/Nevada Triathlon Club Championship Race - with the Reno Area Triathletes the defending Champions. 

Included with your entry is a swim cap, post race refreshments and a commemorative Granite Bay Triathlon Finisher Shirt. 

Distances

Swim .75 mile in Folsom Lake. Bike 14 miles (two laps) within the park. Run 5 miles on single track trails with some sand and pavement. 

Packet Pick Up Information

Race packets will be available race morning from 6:30 a.m. to 8 a.m. at the race site. There is a $12 park entrance fee per vehicle. 

Start Time

The Granite Bay Triathlon will start at 8 a.m. Waves will be posted on race morning. 

First place Overall Male and Female in the Granite Bay Triathlon will receive Overall Champion Awards. There will be awards five deep in each ten-year age group.

The NorCal/Nevada Overall Tri Club Championship will be determined by finisher and podium points received by Tri Club Team Members racing in the Triathlon.

Rules and Regulations

Wetsuits are recommended for the Triathlon. Swim fins and snorkels are not allowed. Helmets must be worn and buckled on the bike at all times. Run numbers must be worn on the run and when crossing the finish line. Listening devices of any kind: MP3, IPod, headphones, etc... are not allowed.

TBF Refund Policy

TBF Racing has a No Refund policy on all of our events. A Refund requested prior to race week will be given a TBF Race credit for the amount of the entry fee minus a $25 processing fee. Credits are not given during race week. Race transfers are allowed from one TBF Racing event to another within a one-year time frame. There is a $25 transfer fee. Participant transfers are allowed for this event, with a $15 fee. Transfers are not allowed during race week. ALL TBF Racing events are held Rain or Shine.
