Event Description

Missouri Western State University’s Center for Military and Veterans Services and Department of Recreation Services asks for your support as we commemorate the 20th anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks with the 9/11 Towers Tribute on Saturday, Sept. 11, 2021 at Spratt Memorial Stadium.

In honor of those who lost their lives that fateful day, participants will walk and/or run the stadium stairs. Each participant will carry the name of a fallen first responder as they simulate climbing the equivalent of the World Trade Center’s 2,071 steps and 110 stories.

Participants in the event are encouraged to seek donations, with all donations divided between the local first responder organizations and a scholarship fund for the Center for Military and Veterans Services. Donations will benefit both organizations as they continue to carry out their critical missions.
