Event Description

Commemorate the Battle of Plattsburgh with the return of the legendary Cannonball Run 5K on September 11, 2021; starting at 8:00 A.M. The course will start at Trinity Park, in front of Radio Station WNBZ-FM 106.3, 26 City Hall Place, Plattsburgh, NY. The Course runs from Trinity Park and goes out to the OVAL and returns to Trinity Park. Runners will pass by the home of Major General Benjamin Mooers that still carries a six-pounder cannonball from the bombardment of the British  artillery during the 1814 battle. After the race join in the Commemoration activities that will start Thursday, September 9 and continues through Sunday, September 12.

Entrants will receive a t-shirt especially designed for this race by graphic artist Madison Spear. Registrants can sign up for $20 up through August 31; or for $25 until September 9 (to guarantee a T-shirt entry should be made as early as possible. Awards will be made to the fastest woman, fastest man and fastest youth (12  and under). Follow the event page for updates including pick-up race packets times and place.
