Event Description
Due to COVID, two beloved mascots of the Rocks And Roots Trail Runners Association were sidelined last year. The FireFly and Squatch were put away. Quarantined together for an unknown length of time. Now, we’ve opened the doors, and what has emerged from quarantine is a beast more majestic than a pegasus. A creature more fierce than a minotaur. Behold! “The FIRESQUATCH!”
With the strength of more than 300 humans, and the ability to illuminate the darkest night for hours, there is no “virtual” escape from this product of the mythical mascot melting-pot. On November 6th, enjoy the day galavanting through the woods, on the Rocks And Roots Trail at Alum Creek! You are afforded the distance of your choice… 10k, Half Marathon, or 50k.
But, be aware… you must finish before dark. The FireSquatch feeds at night!

What, when, where, why!
We’ll answer the why first… Join us on the trails as we take on the only trail built by runners for runners! The Rocks and Roots Trail Runners Association is a non-profit organization dedicated to building and maintaining trails in Central Ohio. Get dirty with us!
What: 10K, Half Marathon, or 50K Trail Race
When: Sunday, November 7th. All distances start at 7:30am.
Where: The Rocks and Roots Trail at Alum Creek State Park. The start of the race is located just off of Hollenback Rd and just south of the dog park(3993 Hollenback Rd Lewis Center, OH 43035).
Cost: Our races typically sell out 2-6 weeks prior to race day. This race has a registration cap of 300 participants.

Packet Pickup:
Packet pickup will be held at Fleet Feet Sports in Lewis Center before the event on Thursday, November 4th through Saturday, November 6th during normal business hours.
Race day packet pickup will beginning at 7am at the race site at Alum Creek State Park.
