Event Description
The Children’s Organ Transplant Association in honor of Lainee Jordan have organized a 5K with fun mile walk to raise proceeds to benefit COTA for Lainee. Lainee is a 14-year old Craven County teen in need of a life-saving heart-transplant. Money raised will be used for a lifetime of transplant related expenses. Your participation will help Lainee and other children and young adults like her have a second chance at life. We are asking runners to help by obtaining sponsorships.

Third Place Fundraiser Wins $200 Gift Card Assortment
The Run Walk Crawl 5K with a mile fun walk will be held in conjunction with the Strawberry Festival on October 2nd. Runners and Walkers will have the unique opportunity to course through the “hometown, USA” town of Vanceboro before joining and leading the Strawberry Festival Parade. Participants are sure to have a multitude of cheering fans as they run the last legs of the race. Each paid participant will receive a cool event t-shirt and awesome swag bag. Run the East will be timekeeping.
After the event, be sure to join us at the Strawberry Day Festival for good food, music and the celebration of community.
Registration Fees:
Runner fee $30.00 Walkers $20.00. Deadline for registration is September 10th to ensure t-shirt availability on race day. September 25th final deadline but cannot insure t-shirt availability. Children under six are free but do not receive a race t-shirt.

Medals awarded to top 3 runners male/ female of each age group. Medals for top three overall finishers male/female. Age groups - 15 & under, 16-19. 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69. 70 & over
GIVEAWAY
Event t-shirt for all paid entrants runners and walkers. Youth sizes S,M and L. Adult Unisex Gildan 50/50 T sizes S-5XL. Must register by September 10th to guarantee t-shirt available on race day. Swag Bag of goodies. All runners and walkers will be entered for a chance to win a door prize giveaway.
