Event Description

The Wounded Warfighter Lone Sailor 5k 10k is back and in person on Sept. 11, 2021!  This is Patriot Day and the 20th anniversary of 9/11.
For over 30 years, Baldwin Park was home to Naval Training Center Orlando. Join us for a run around the former "Grinder" to honor Orlando's rich military heritage and support our wounded service men and women.

This event's primary goal is to raise money for charities that support wounded service men and women and the Central Florida military communities. Over the years we have raised more than $400,000 for the Wounded Warrior Project, Building Homes for Heroes, The Camaraderie Foundation and the Lone Sailor Memorial of Central Florida. This year's event benefits the work of the Central Florida Navy League, the Camaraderie Foundation, and now we welcome Wake For Warriors.
This year's race will be our 12th Anniversary!
This year's event includes:
-Premium race shirts for ALL participants
-Newly designed, limited-edition race medal for ALL participants
-Discounts for Veterans, active duty Military as well as groups of 10 or more
- NEW FREE KIDS RACE for ages 4, 5 & 6, 50 yards and 7, 8 & 9, 100+yards at around 9 am. Youth shirts are available to buy for only $10.
The Wounded Warfighter Lone Sailor 5K / 10K attracted 800 participants in 2019.  Help us surpass 1000 in 2021!
