Event Description
The City of Marianna Police Department is proud to annouce their 2nd Annual Marianna Police Department Fly and Ride. The ride will begin and end near Marianna Municipal Airport and travel through surrounding country roads. The Fly & Ride has three routes to choose from 18.5 miles, 31.5 miles, and 60 miles.
Pre-Registration including t-shirt ends MAY 8, 2017!! Pre-Registration with no t-shirt ends MAY, 18, 2017!!! Pre-purchase of additional t-shirts will end MAY 8, 2017!! We will have a limited supply of t-shirts in diffrent sizes available for purchase the day of the event for $15.00. If you register at the registration tent the day of the event and want a t-shirt the cost will be $55.00. If you register at the registration tent the day of the event and dont want a t-shirt the cost will still be $40.00. Only checks and cash will be accepted.
When you finish the ride you may want to head over to the 7th Annual Marianna Municipal Airport Fly-In. This is a FREE family friendly event. Hang out and walk among the war birds and civilian aircraft. There will be Huey Helicopter rides for a fee. There will be great food from local vendors and plenty of arts and crafts. Event details and schedule
Upon arrival, parking will be in the surrounding grass area near the Marianna Municipal Airport.
Check-in and Late Registration will begin at 7:00 am CST and end at 7:45 am CST. At check-in, you will be given a course map of your chosen route including written directions and the contact number of support person on your route. Also during check-in there will be drinks and snacks availbale to all riders at no cost.
Line-up will begin at 7:50 am CST. Final instruction will be at 7:55 am CST. Then the ride will begin at 8:00 am CST. Riders will be escorted by an Officer with the Marianna Police Department to the first main highway (approx 1/2 mile). This is to ensure all riders are able to safely cross and begin their ride.
A SAG tent will be set up on the 31.5 mile and 60 mile route. At the tent there will be a few multi tools and also snack and drinks and a bathroom facility.
At the end of ride there will be drinks and snacks for the riders. When you finish we encorage you to visit some of the vendors at the Fly-In.
Ride will take place rain or shine!! Helmets must be worn!!
