Event Description

Tallahassee is known for its explosions of springtime floral blooms and Alfred B Maclay State Park is the best place in town to witness nature's beauty. A partnership with the Friends of Maclay Gardens, allows Red Hills Triathlon access to this beautiful state park for one Saturday every year.

The Park's recreation area provides the venue for the transition area and post race party.  The 1/3 mile swim takes place in the fresh waters of Lake Hall, with water temperatures normally in the high 60's.  The new bike course is a huge hit!  Redesigned in 2016, the bike course leaves the Park and heads out on the scenic paved hills of northern Tallahassee for two, 9-mile loops, making for an 19.3 mile course.  The 5k run takes place inside the Park. The run course is mostly paved, but does include a segment of off road trail.

All registrants will receive a quality tech t-shirt.

All finishers will receive a beautiful commemorative medal.

There will be a post race celebration with age group and overall winners receiving unique, hand made, pottery created by Tallahassee's own local artist, Brian Bachman.

With its 17 year history, Red Hills Triathlon has earned a reputation for being a tough, but safe, well orgainzed event. Join us in 2017, and find out why!
