The Washington Island Ultra is a race we hold near and dear to our hearts. My wife and I stumbled upon the Island in 2014 and have been passionate about this place ever since. We held the first Washington Island Ultra in 2016 with 25 racers. Since year one, we've welcomed 200 athletes from around the globe to the Island every July. We treat everyone who races with us like family. We're here to help you reach the goal, whatever that may mean for you. My wife home cooks breakfast, lunch and dinner for all 200 athletes every year. We also offer fresh brewed coffee / tea from Red Cup Killer Coffee - the local coffee shop. Finally we bring some fresh brick oven Pizza from Island Pizza - the local pizzeria. 

Yes, the event is literally on an Island. Once you drive onto the car ferry and begin the 30min ride over Deaths Door Passage, you start to understand why this event is so special. The island is the definition of peace and quiet. There's just something about this place that resonates with soul. Add on the butter smooth roads, crystal clear water, star packed skies and waterside camping. It's just an incredible racing experience unlike anything else.
