Event Description

Pain In Green Lane 25K, 50K, 6 Hour and 12 Hour Ultras

Location: Green Lane Park 2144 Snyder Road, Green Lane PA 18054

Challenging but extremely scenic trail course around the lake and reservoir! The trail consists of a variety of surfaces, from paved pathway to single track rock and root covered dirt path, packed gravel, as well as parts of the mulch path. (There are a few rocky areas on the blue trail, you can either walk, hop or crawl your way through!)

The 25k  starts on the closed off road down from the Ranger Station and then proceeds across the bridge and follows the Perkiomen Trail to Route 29, up the big hill, around the Reservoir to Knight Road (staying on the trail). It then crosses over the bridges, follows the trail around the perimeter of the reservoir to the boat launch area, proceeds back up the hill to the equestrian camping area, down and back to where you started for the finish.

The 50k will be 2 loops of the 25k course.

For all races, arrive before the sun rises and catch the beauty of the reflection on the lake. Stay for the Ultra races and run as the sun sets. These races are the perfect time of year to see the changing leaves and enjoy the crisp air.

Ultras (6 hour & 12 hour)

They will follow the same course (making a lollipop) and circling back for a total of just under 6 miles for EACH LOOP. Choose between the 6 hour or 12 hour event if you enjoy knowing exactly what to expect after the first 6 miles, have your own secret stash of goodies that you carry around in a plastic bin, and have a cheering section who like to stay in one place and be entertained while you do all the work! This is the perfect opportunity for anyone who is curious to see how many miles they are capable of, but also enjoy the thought of stopping as much as they want and enjoying some great food and company, too! Anyone who chooses the 12 hour will need to have/use a headlamp for the evening hours.
