Event Description

Join us for the 2021 Durham Creekside 5k on Sunday, November 21 in Durham, North Carolina with a 2:00pm race start. 

Participants will take part in a premier event hosted by one of the leading adult/masters Running, Track and Field clubs in the US, the Piedmont Pacers.

Runners will enjoy an exciting running atmosphere in one of the most vibrant cities in the Southeast and one of the areas best greenways.

Many awards including the largest medals you'll see are on the line including overall, masters, teams and 3-deep in each age-category by gender.

Southern Boundaries Park is a 29.7 acre park located in South Durham with ample parking, restrooms and a notable mural on the restroom and storage facility created by artists Julia Gartrell and Julienne Alexander during Summer 2017.

Schedule:

- Packet pickup with event memento and late registration 1:00pm - 1:50pm

- 5k race start: 2:00pm

- Virtual Awards ceremony: On or about 3:00pm

- End of event: 4:00pm

Course Details:

- An exciting down and back 5 Kilometer (3.1 mile) path using the Third Fork Creek Greenway Trail (paved sidewalk) 

- Water at the turnaround

- The race path is a public course so runners will need to be mindful of others on the trail including cyclists, runners and walkers

Awards:

- Top-three male & female overall 

- Ten-year age-groups top-three male & female (1-9, 10-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80-89, 90-99, 100+)

- Team awards for top-three fastest combined teams (top 4 runners with fastest time on a team)

Race Fees:

- Now to November 1:$25.00

- November 2 to November 20: $35.00

- Race Day in-person only, November 21: $45.00

Other Details:

- Registration, race memento, post-race refreshments and parking at the Southern Boundaries Park  

- Members of the Piedmont Pacers get a 10% discount and there is an option to join the team as a new member during registration

- Pets and runners with strollers are unfortunately not permitted to register to run in this event due to safety reasons

- Please maintain social distancing and follow CDC guidelines

- Race is subject to change in light of current events. If the event is somehow cancelled refunds will be issued
