Event Description

Together with locally owned and operated Up & Running, our annual 5K is a family-friendly run/walk aimed at bringing neighbors together! Proceeds benefit the fight against hunger and will be distributed to The Foodbank. New this year, we’re adding in an optional twist! After you cross the finish line and complete the 5K, take part in our Fill-the-Truck Challenge if you wish! We’ll have pallets of food awaiting and The Foodbank’s truck will be a short distance away. Whatever you can carry to it will be donated, in addition to race proceeds. All 5K participants will be rewarded with the sweetest finish—a delectable Killer Brownie® for the win! 

The race starts at 8:30 a.m. on Sunday, May 22, in the DLM Washington Square parking lot, 6177 Far Hills Avenue, Dayton, Ohio. Race day packet pickup will begin at 7:30 a.m. on May 22. Or, pre-race packet pickup will be at Up and Running, 6123 Far Hills Avenue, on May 21, 2-4 p.m.

Register by May 15 to be guaranteed a race T-shirt.

$20 for adults and $10 for kids 12 & under.

Price increases to $25/$15 afterward.
