Event Description

The Race to Stop the Clot® 2021 Fun Run is a virtual walk/run in celebration of World Thrombosis Day, with options to complete a 10K, 5K or 1-Mile Family Fun Run through the course of your choosing any time from October 13 -17. Take your support one step further and sign up to help fundraise! All proceeds support the National Blood Clot Alliance (NBCA) and are 100% tax-deductible.

Registration Options:

  • 10K or 5K is $30 and includes a digital race bib, finisher medal and certificate, weekly training tips from Coach Tom, fun challenges and prizes, virtual activities, and ways to connect with your fellow runners.
  • 1-Mile Fun Run is $50 and includes four entries, four finisher medals, digital race bib, finisher certificate, as well as weekly training tips from Coach Tom, fun challenges and prizes, virtual activities, and ways to connect with your fellow runners.
  • Add-On options for all registrants include the option to purchase a discounted custom race shirt at check-out or make an additional donation. Donations of $150 or more receive a complimentary race registration! 

When will I receive my race gear? Register by October 1 receive your gear by October 13. For those that register after October 1, your gear will arrive within 4 weeks of your registration.

Here’s how it works: 

  1. Register and consider fundraising to help support NBCA programs
  2. Run or walk your selected race distance any time between October 13 and October 17
  3. Report your race time on the results page 
  4. Join us for the virtual awards ceremony on October 17

How does my donation help? All donations benefit the National Blood Clot Alliance (NBCA) and support things like building public awareness of the risks, signs and symptoms of blood clots; providing support, resources and education for patients and family members; and participating in ongoing research efforts and projects.
