Celebrate the 3rd annual Run for Rhinos with the Buffalo Zoo from the comfort of your home, on a local outdoor trail or road or in person on September 17. Our Virtual 5K race is a great and a fun way to train for other events or to just get some exercise. So, whether you run on a treadmill, jog around the neighborhood or walk around the block, the Run for Rhinos is an ideal way to get in shape while supporting the Buffalo Zoo! Gather your family, friends, colleagues and neighbors to create a team - near and far can participate! New this year: an in-person race for the first 200 registrants that includes a race through Delaware Park and ends in the Buffalo Zoo. Your race registration includes a ticket to the Zoo on September 17.
This year, we are raising funds for the Sumatran Rhino Rescue and the Buffalo Zoo Emergency Response Fund. Your participation will support the Buffalo Zoo during the ongoing pandemic. The Sumatran Rhino Rescue is a groundbreaking approach to conservation that brings together the Government of Indonesia, leading international conservation organizations, local experts and conservation practitioners, and supporters from around the world to save the Sumatran Rhino from extinction.
All registrants (virtual and in-person) will receive a race t-shirt and finisher medal that can either be picked up or mailed.
