The Dia de los Muertos 5K Run/Walk will take runners through the grounds of the historic Forest Home Cemetery & Arboretum! Enjoy the stunning beauty of the rolling hills, Victorian era monuments and towering trees of this 189 acre cemetery. On-site registrations are limited so make sure to sign up early!
Proceeds from the event will benefit Forest Home Historic Preservation Association, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that works to preserve the Arboretum and share the history of the cemetery through educational programs and public outreach. If you needed an awesome reason to don a costume, get out of the house, and get your miles in, we just gave you one.
You’ll be running during the Day of the Dead, in October, so now isn’t the time to get shy about your costume creativity. Skeletons, flower headbands, La Catrinas and skulls are encouraged. Face painting will be available prior to the race, so come early!
After the run, stay for our Dia de los Muertos Festival with food trucks, local vendors, altars to the dead, music, and traditional dancing.
