The best run-bike-run athletes in the U.S. will head to Bend, Oregon, onJune 17-18, 2017 for the Duathlon National Championships. Athletes will have the opportunity to race for national titles in two run-bike-run races, with distances estimated to be a 10-kilometer run, 40-kilometer bike and 5-kilometer run for the standard distance, and a 5k run, 20k bike, 2.5k run for the sprint. Both races will be the traditional non-draft format and will take place on June 17. Paraduathlon National Championships will also be contested at the non-draft sprint distance on June 17. Also part of the event weekend will be the USA Triathlon Draft-Legal Duathlon Worlds Qualifier taking place on June 18, which will cover a sprint-distance draft-legal course and help athletes earn spots for USA Triathlon’s Team USA to compete in the 2018 ITU Multisport Festival in Odense, Denmark.
