Event Description
The 10th Annual Sandy Erickson Race for Christian Educaiton 5K and Fun Run is a community event in Collegedale, TN. It is a timed race with an awards given to the the top 3 Male/Female finishers per grade/age gorup. All racers will receive a finsiher's medal. The course has some hills and weaves in and out of quiet neighborhoods.
This race is dedicated to Sandy Erickson's legacy. Sandy taught first grade for over 20 years at Collegedale Academy Elementary. Mrs. Erickson cared deeply for her students, often working one-on-one to ensure the success of teh individual. When diagnosed with A.L.S. (Lou Gehrig's Diesease), she maintained her cheerful attitude and sense of humor. It is with honor that we dedicate this race to Sandy Erickson and her family.
Not only is this a 5K and Fun Run for little kids, we also have a Fun Before The Run Carnival with games, face-painting, and music from 11:00 am - 3:30 pm for the entire family to enjoy!

Registration will be from 11:00 – 1:30 for both races. Please go to the Middle School’s Parking Lot.

The top 3 Male/Female awards are given per age-group/per grade to runners on race day. All participants will receive a finisher’s medal.
Fun Before the Run Carnival
Carnival games, food, treats, face-painting and more will be set up in front of the high and middle schools, open from 11am-3:30pm. You will need to buy tickets to participate in the fun. We will have a pre-sale at a discounted rate before the race.
Race Packet Pick Up
Student Packets will be delivered at school on Friday, November 5th.
Community Runners – November 5 from 7:30AM - 8:30 AM and 2:00PM-3:30PM at the Elementary Building (or on race day from 11:00 -1:30 at the Middle School’s Parking Lot).
Beneficiary
The race primarily benefits the Worthy Student Fund which is critical to our mission in furthering our ministry for every student, especially for those families that couldn’t otherwise afford a Christian education.
