Event Description

Come run or walk in Global Hands of Hope's fundraiser 5K Run/Walk to raise funds for the expenses associated with a Safe House for young girls at risk for or already experiencing abuse in the village of Bukeka, Uganda. Global Hands of Hope Uganda, in partnership with Lifesong for Orphans, has recently built 3 Safe Houses for 96 girls and boys attending the Suubi ("Hope") School. Now we are trying to raise funds for the expenses associated with caring for these precious girls with four full-time "House Moms" (social workers) and other resources. 
     The Safe House Run is on Saturday, October 9 at Whiterock Ale House. The race will be entirely on the Santa Fe Trail.
      Registration fee is 25$ and includes a T-shirt and a beer.  T-shirts and Post-Race drinks and snacks will be provided by our sponsors. Race will begin at 10:30.
