You are invited to participate in the Red Ribbon Kids Fun Run on Saturday, October 16, 2021 around picturesque Lake Mirror.
SATURDAY, OCTOBER 16, 2021 - LIVE Event! Frances Langford Promenade located at 101 S. Lake Ave. Lakeland, FL US 33801
START TIME: First Family Heat – 8:15 a.m. Grade Level Heats – 8:45 a.m. It’s a fun family event where parents can run during the family heats – 8:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.
RED RIBBON RUN REGISTRATION IS FREE FOR KIDS K-8TH GRADE! If parents are running in Family Heat, there is a $5 fee per parent.
Registration for the Kids Fun Run is FREE prior to October 15th but there will be a $5 charge day of race. Registration includes a commemorative Run t-shirt for kids. The Fun Run will start and finish at Lake Mirror Promenade. K-8 students will receive awards for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place trophies in male and female categories. Awards will also be given to the top 3 elementary schools and top middle school with the largest percentage of student participation, based on school census numbers. The private school with the highest percentage of participation will also receive a trophy.
RACE DAY CHECK-IN FOR KIDS FUN RUN will take place in the Lake Mirror Auditorium starting at 7:00 a.m. Matching wristbands will be issued to all parents and children during check-in.

Bring Chairs & Blankets for participants and spectators to watch the exciting races.
Join us after your heat at the Florida Dairy Farmers Market to sample healthy fruits and vegetables, enjoy milk and cookies, learn yoga poses, and much more!
In addition to the Kids Fun Run, we are continuing with the 2021 Red Ribbon Challenge, this year which offers a series of activities to be completed online over a 4-week period. Weekly challenges are based on elements of healthy living and ways to live your best life. Complete the challenges and post them on the Red Ribbon Run Facebook page to earn extra points and prizes.
The Challenges kick off on September 27 with Family Day – A Day to Eat Dinner with your Family and ends on October 23. In addition, students can earn bonus points if they continue to participate during the National Red Ribbon Week – October 23-October 31.
A different health-oriented challenge will be featured each week with themes of Nutrition, Kindness and Tolerance, Healthy Mind/Healthy Body and Healthy Lifestyle. Participants will be eligible to earn a prize if they complete at least 10 challenges. Prize(s) will be distributed after Winter Break to those who completed 10 or more challenges.
