Event Description

Mercy's 7th annual 5K Stroke Awareness Run is being held on Saturday, May 5th at Mercy Medical Center. This fun run is held to educate participants on the signs and symptoms of a stroke. All the money raised goes straight into our Primary Care Stroke Program. This year’s 5k event will be chipped timed, which means you can have your race results emailed or texted to you when you cross the finish line. The end of the race brings you right to our Family Festival where there will be free health screenings, as well as many family friendly activities.

For the past four years we have challenged community groups, businesses, and friends to create teams to participate in the race. We would like to extend that challenge again this year by asking you to form a team of 5 or more participants. We encourage you to be creative with your team name and outfits for race day. Awards will be given for the team with the most members, the team with the craziest team hats, and the team with the best selfie!
