Event Description

Cycle of Hope is one of California’s premier cycling events benefiting Habitat for Humanity. Anyone can be a part of the 2021 ride, from kids to century athletes, from cyclists gathered at the start line in-person on October 24th in Palo Alto to folks joining in virtually between October 1-24 from anywhere. However you ride, you ride with a community of people building a world where everyone has a decent place to live.

HOW TO RIDE CYCLE OF HOPE:

RIDE WITH US IN-PERSON

•    100-Mile Century Route
•    66-Mile Metric Century Route
•    37-Mile Moderate Route
•    10-Mile Starter/Family Ride

Our in-person ride will take place on Sunday, October 24th, from Palo Alto. You can expect a fantastic array of amenities, like food and refreshments, music, family activities, bike and bag check, and medical support. On course, you’ll find fully stocked water stations and SAG support to keep you and your bicycle riding for the finish!

VIRTUAL OPTIONS AVAILABLE

Ride or participate your way from anywhere between October 1-24

Our Virtual Ride option is for you if you want to cycle one of our established distance goals in one session – but do it on your own time between October 1st – 24th.

You can design your own course at one of these distances, or even ride one of the in-person courses on your own time! Virtual Cyclists can track their rides and submit results through our official Virtual Cyclists app, RaceJoy. Virtual Cyclists will have their packets and prizes mailed right to their doors, take part in our Cycle of Hope online community, and be invited to our Virtual Finish Line Celebration on October 24th!

Our Virtual DIY option is our most flexible option! As a Virtual DIY-er, you’ll participate however you'd like and when you like, any time between October 1st – 24th.

Curate your own course at any distance you choose – whether you complete it on your bike, on foot, on an at-home trainer, or your own creative way! You can even work toward your distance goal in multiple sessions. Virtual participants will have their packets and prizes mailed right to their door, take part in our Cycle of Hope online community, and be invited to our Virtual Finish Line Celebration on October 24th!
