BLUEPRINT FOR ATHLETES LEADVILLE TRAIL 100 MTB
This is it, the race of all races. One hundred miles across the high-altitude, extreme terrain of the Colorado Rockies, this event was created for only the most determined athletes. Starting at 10,152 feet and climbing to 12,424 feet, you’ll be challenged to catch your breath — while the views try to take it away.

Up-to-date conditions, changes in race rules or procedures and last-minute instructions will be announced. All entrants are required to attend.

Saturday, August 12
• 5:00 a.m. – 6:15 a.m. Mandatory corral check-in

• 3:30 p.m. 9-hour cutoff time for the gold and silver trophy buckle
• 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Finish Fest

• 6:30 p.m. 12-hour final cutoff time for completion of the race and the silver buckle
Sunday, August 13
• 7:30 a.m. Athlete awards and finisher buckles

All awards and finisher buckles will be presented at this time and must be picked up in person. They will not be given to others and will not be distributed before or after the awards ceremony. Finisher jackets will be distributed outside the Leadville Race Series Retail Store, 316 Harrison Ave. The first 1,000 finishers will be guaranteed their sweatshirts the day after the race. If your sweatshirt is not printed overnight, it will be made and shipped to you free of charge.

Registration will remain open through 11:30 a.m. race day. Challenge and then treat your crew to compete in Sunday’s epic challenge — “America’s Highest 10K.” Provide yourself with an opportunity to cheer for your friends and family to an unusual “thank you” after they spent the previous day running around at 10,000+ feet ensuring you made your way to the red carpet!

Consider staying in town or coming back for this sold-out event. We can always use an extra set of hands to help athletes and staff alike through this epic event.
Aid Stations
Full aid stations will be at these locations:
Pipeline (outbound at about 26 miles)
The base of Twin Lakes Dam (outbound at about 40 miles)
Columbine Mine (at 50 miles)
Twin Lakes Dam (return at about 60 miles)
Pipeline (return at about 74 miles)
There will also be an express aid station located at Carter Summit on Turquoise Lake (at about mile 11 and mile 89). This location will not be a drop bag point. Aid station supplies include, but are not limited to: Hot Shot, GU (including gels, Roctane), Coca-Cola products, fruit (such as bananas, oranges and watermelon), cookies, potato chips, mini candy bars, pretzels, crackers, and PB&J sandwiches. Water provided by Eldorado Springs.
